Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state Friday lost his mother, Hajiya Fadimatu Umaru Ganduje.
In a statement by Madakin Ganduje Alhaji Sama’ila Umar, the 95 years old woman joined her ancestors by 7am.
The late Governor’s mother was survived by six children, among whom are Alhaji Sama’ila Umar, the Madaki of Ganduje, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Gov. of Kano State and Alhaji Hussaini Umar Ganduje, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Teachers Board among others.
According to the statement, she would be buried at Ganduje town by 2.00pm after Friday prayers.
